Teacher Grants

A few years ago, MEF made grants available to all teachers for books, materials, supplies, or software, to enhance the teaching in their classrooms. Each year more and more teachers apply, and MEF is pleased to be able to give the teachers more tools for their classrooms. In the 2019-20 school year, teachers have requested music stands to help students read music; scientific calculators for 8th graders; scanner pens to help dyslexic students learn to read and write better; Scholastic News Magazine to help 3rd graders understand current events; Novel Studies: A Novel Idea, which features four novels for high school English students; and helping students attend a statewide conference for student council members from Texas.
